ABOUT US

Camera Showroom Milano represents the multibrand showrooms of Milan, bringing together agents and distributors of “Made in Italy” fashion. The collections, sourced from Italian SMEs, are renowned for their artisanal quality. With autonomy and independence, we direct 66% of sales to foreign markets, representing over 1,500 brands and providing employment for more than 200,000 people. Milan’s showrooms, among the most prestigious in the world, are the driving force behind the Italian textile sector, an industry with an annual turnover of 95 billion euros. Our activity is crucial to the entire sector.

The Steering Committee includes prominent figures such as Gigliola Maule, Elisa Gaito, Francesco Casile, Mauro Galligari, Daniele Ghiselli, and Francesco Lubrano, who are entrusted with overseeing the values, statutes, and projects of the association.

MISSION

CAMERA MILANO SHOWROOM was founded to tackle the challenges of the post-pandemic period and promote a shared vision between commercial agents and fashion distributors. Its mission is based on five core principles: unity, to give a voice to the category; autonomy, with political and managerial independence; digitalization, through innovative tools; internationalization, via collective showrooms and exhibitions both in Italy and abroad; CSM patronage, as a symbol of support for key events in the industry. The goal is to create a future of shared and optimized resources, offering maximum support to members to successfully navigate a constantly evolving market.

CSM PATRONAGE

The CSM association can grant its patronage, which is a form of ideal and abstract membership, to an event or initiative; a support that does not have an organizational or administrative participation, but only actions of presence, representation and communication. The patronage of CSM therefore represents a symbolic form of membership, and a manifestation of appreciation, to initiatives of the sector deemed worthy. The granting of patronage falls within the discretionary activity of the CSM association. The patronage is therefore granted, only with acceptance by the President of the association or by the Board of Directors, even by relative majority, to public or private organizations, which formally request it from the association; for cultural events, commercial events, trade fair events, shows, exhibitions, conventions, congresses, courses, seminars, collective showrooms, workshops or other similar events of the sector, whether these are open to the public or to private individuals. Patronage can also be granted to magazines, trade magazines, television and theatre shows, radio broadcasts, websites, digital social media and also to communication and dissemination tools through new digital technologies. Patronage can be granted both to internal initiatives, including those of individual CSM members, and to initiatives external to the association. The granting of CSM patronage is free of charge.

CSM stands out for its inclusive, ethical, loyal, and cohesive nature, built on a shared vision and a common desire: to promote and defend the needs and demands of our category.

CSM believes in a new phase of relationships among colleagues, based on a shared code of ethics and driven by a spirit of transparent collaboration. The goal is to study and address issues of common interest together.

CSM safeguards fair competition among its members, respecting the timelines and procedures outlined in the code of ethics, while promoting conduct based on integrity and the sharing of common goals.

CSM does not pursue profit nor maintain ties with political parties or movements. However, it reserves the right to support initiatives by entities or organizations whose objectives align with its mission, while always preserving its autonomy.

CSM is a free and democratic association with transparent governing bodies, freely elected by its members. Its organizational structure includes an Assembly, a Steering Committee with clearly defined roles, a democratically elected President, and an elected Secretary.

CSM identifies with the activities of independent multibrand showrooms, with its primary headquarters in Milan, reaffirming the city’s status as the global fashion capital.

CSM is firmly committed to advocating for its requests, including financial matters, before the relevant authorities.

CSM supports its members in adopting new digital technologies, with a particular focus on B2B, while allowing them the freedom to choose whether and how to use them.
